Thousands of caribou pass through Point Lake each season on their annual migration. Watching the caribou migration on the barrens is an incredible experience. Our annual Arctic Photography Workshop with Dr. Robert Berdan provides instruction for all levels of photographers or anyone interested in viewing nature and exploring the tundra at the ideal time of year to enjoy this type of outdoor adventure. The colours of the tundra are rich and vibrant with reds, yellow and golds. Migratory wildlife including grizzly bears are commonly sighted during this time as well as tundra swans, peregrine falcons and arctic terns. Northern lights can be sighted as well.
