Trophy Lodge is located on the Smith Arm of Great Bear Lake. This northwest corner of the lake has a unique sand bar structure below the surface that provides the perfect habitat for large lake trout. The guides at Trophy Lodge say that they have the best job on earth, seeking out huge lake trout. Arctic grayling fishing in the rapid, cold water rivers is excellent, and some of the finest northern pike fishing on the lake can be found in the waters of the slow warmer rivers and weedy shallows.
Trophy Lodge is a full-service lodge with superb trophy lake trout fishing and the opportunity to fly across the lake, up over the Arctic tree line, to the Coppermine River that cut its way through the tundra millions of years ago. The Coppermine River is a spawning river for the mighty Arctic char.
The lodge itself is an all in one facility that accommodates up to 32 guests per week. The main lodge is connected to wings on either side that house the guest rooms. Each room has either two single beds or one queen bed, a three-piece bath, and 24-hour electricity.
The rate for an seven-day stay at Trophy Lodge is $4,995 per trip, plus applicable taxes.
