Yellowknife. It is distant, cold. A land few, if any, truly know. We’re not talking about Yellowknife, NWT, we’re talking about Yellowknife Mars! With the landing of the Mars Science Laboratory, Curiosity, NASA named the region where this robot is working after the City of Yellowknife because of the city’s four billion year old rocks. In the North we're surrounded by ancient geological formations that are as commonly found on the solar system's extraterrestrial bodies as they are in the NWT. Come to the Northwest Territories to see the world’s oldest rocks and other spectacular things you stalagmite not want to take for granite.
Check back over the next week to see how the series unfolds.
