We offer 1, 2 & 3 day tour packages that showcases the best of Yellowknife and the Northwest Territories. During our winter season (November to April) you and your group can choose from Aurora Viewing, City of Yellowknife Tours, Cultural Tours, Dogsled Rides, Ice Fishing, Ice Road Tours, Photography Tours, Road Tours, Snowmobile Tours and Wildlife Viewing.

During our summer season (May to October) you and your group can choose from Boat Tours, Canoe & Kayak Outfitting, City of Yellowknife Tours, Cultural Tours, Fishing Adventures, Photography Tours, Road Adventures and Wildlife Viewing. Services

Aurora Day Trips

Observe the most spectacular Aurora Borealis show in the world! Guests can choose an evening drive or a guided snowmobile tour to view the amazing "Northern Lights". The viewing is a 2 hour tour. Cost: $50 per person. Traditional snacks, hot drinks, winter clothing, riding gear and Aurora photography all included.

Ice Roads

Drive on the frozen lakes of Canada's north! Listen to the ice crack, learn how ice roads are made and how they serve as an important transportation link for many northern communities during the winter months.

Canoeing and Kayaking

Yellowknife is ideally located for launching your canoe and kayaking adventure. We can outfit you and your group for your NWT canoe and kayak adventure. Whether you are looking for a 2-4 hour kayak tour in and around Yellowknife or a week long canoe adventure we can make all the arrangements!

Snowmobiling

Snowmobile the 9th largest lake in the world! Guests will go on a guided snowmobile tour on the frozen Great Slave Lake and surrounding trails. Guests can choose from a 1, 2, 3 or 4 hour snowmobile tour. Cost: $50/person/hour. Traditional snacks, hot drinks, winter clothing, riding gear and photos of your trip all included.

Wildlife Viewing

View Canadian northern wildlife out in the wild! On many of our adventures, guests may see one or more of the following: buffalo, moose, black bear, fox, muskrat, eagles, hawk, cranes and many other species of birds. Whether it is one of our summer tours or our winter adventures, you will see Canadian northern wildlife in their element!

Sightseeing Day Trips

We offer a number of different sightseeing day trips in both the summer and winter seasons. If you are in town for only for a day or two and want to get a different perspective of Yellowknife, we'll take you on a 1, 2, 3 or 4 hour day tour of Yellowknife. Explore the spectacular North by road. We offer both summer and winter road Adventures. Aboriginal

North Star Adventures is 100% Aboriginal owned and operated! We can offer you a true, authentic perspective on the traditional cultural practices and values of the local Dene people. Our guides possess important traditional knowledge about the land and the animals. Guests will get a hands-on experience in our summer and winter cultural workshops such as how to clean fish, make dry fish, traditional bannock, set snares, skin rabbit, beading & sewing, learn Dene Games and more! All workshops conclude with Traditional storytelling with an Elder.
