Barrenland caribou migrate north to calving grounds in herds each spring. In autumn they travel in small groups south to the forests where they spend the winter. Northern Frontier communities and Barrenland outfitters follow their progress each spring and fall, and visitors have several opportunities to see the herds in migration.
