Visitors and residents over the age of 16 and under 65 require Northwest Territories fishing licences, available by mail, from government offices or at lodges and convenience stores across the territory.
Many communities offer boat rentals so you can find your own exclusive fishing hole. You may find runabouts, inflatables, canoes and kayaks. Ask the locals where to go and make sure you wear a PFD (personal flotation device) - our water is cold!
