Golfing for Fun

Golfing in the Northwest Territories? Absolutely. We golf all through the spring, summer and fall, and we've been known to stage golf tournaments in the winter snow as well.

In June and July, 24 hours of daylight allows golfing round the clock. Golf clubs in the larger communities feature a full range of necessary equipment, including golf carts. Visitors are always welcome. Most of our golf clubs are open May through September.

Fort Simpson

Northwest Territories Golf Tournaments

Leave your fancy golf shoes at home and come compete for fun in Northwest Territories golf tournaments from June to October. There's at least one major tournament in each golfing community. The Billy Joss tournament and the Midnight Sun tournaments, with tee times at midnight and beyond, draw sports stars from southern Canada for great entertainment.
