Kakisa - K'agee - "Between the Willows"

Kakisa is located on a side road that passes the entrance to Lady Evelyn Falls Territorial Park. Kakisa has a grocery and an elementary school. This is a popular fishing spot - pickerel and pike are plentiful in Tathlina and Kakisa lakes. The fast moving Kakisa River is suitable for paddling above or below Lady Evelyn Falls. A guide for fishing can be arranged in the community, ask at the Band Office. The only accommodation is at Lady Evelyn Falls Campground, during the summer. Kakisa residents speak Slavey and English.
