Woven Fur Garments

At Fort Providence, Dene Fur Clouds produces unique and toasty warm fashion accessories. They are created the traditional way, by finger knitting strands of fur. In the past, Dene women in this area outfitted their childen in knitted suits of rabbit fur. Today's designs include hats and scarves, mittens, blankets and jackets created from a wide range of supple fur hides. The products are sold under the Dene Fur Clouds label. Visitors are welcome at the workshop during business hours.
