Ice Road Drives

From January to April, drive the ice roads to Aklavik or Tuktoyaktuk. If you prefer the winding Delta, head for Aklavik. For a wildly different sense of place, drive over the Delta and the Beaufort Sea to Tuktoyaktuk. Speed limits are enforced for your safety - holes can open in the road if cross currents are created in the water under the ice by speeding traffic.
