Dining Out in Yellowknife

Dining Out in YellowknifeOur chefs compete for international awards with delicious ingredients from the northern land. Try muskox, buffalo, Arctic char. Some claim we also have the best fish in Canada – whitefish, trout and pickerel, fresh from Great Slave Lake, right on our doorstep.

Unique eateries are hidden away in historic log buildings. Try the summer-only Wildcat Café, Yellowknife's original log restaurant, or Bullocks for fish and great atmosphere in another heritage building.

Yellowknife has a selection of ethnic eateries, too, including Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, French and South American. After dinner, there’s a lively and sophisticated bar scene, music and theatre.
